“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28)

Hi! Welcome to my World Race Fundraising page! My name is Renalyn and I was born and raised in the Philippines until the age of 15.  At this point in my life, I was brought into my family through adoption.  I faced many struggles growing up in the Philippines in a broken, struggling family. The battles we were presented with seemed impossible to overcome at the time and many days I wondered if I would survive another day.  Was there an end to this pain?

BUT GOD……

After moving to the US and graduating high school I continued exploring to find out what path God was leading me down. A family friend of ours participated in the World Race and after hearing about it I decided to dig deeper and find out more information about the organization. Little did I know, God was already leading me in that direction. After much prayer, I applied for one of the World Race semester trips and got accepted! YES! You read that right! I am going to AFRICA in spring of 2022 for 3 months!

WHY NOT ME?

While I was going through many trials as a child and into my teen years, I used to always ask God “Why me?” Why does everything have to happen to me or in this way?

As a 14 year old confused girl, Christ found me in my brokenness and gave me a reason to have HOPE! I surrendered my life to Him then and now that I have built a personal relationship with God that question has been changed to “Why NOT me? Why not me God? Why not use me to serve others?”

As I look ahead to my future as a follower of Christ, I am filled with HOPE!

“Here I am Lord, SEND ME.” Isaiah 6:8

I am beyond excited for this new season of my life! I cannot wait to be the hands and feet of JESUS and to share the LOVE and HOPE that HE has given me.

One response to “Why not me?”

  1. Watching you grow in God’s grace and seeing His blessings in your life has been a joy! Thankful that He has opened this door for you and I know your efforts to serve will please Him.
